Property Guidelines and Exterior Changes
Thinking about a new fence, a roof replacement, or another change at home? We're here to help you find the right steps before work begins. Changes must follow the covenants for your HOA or section, and architectural review applies whether or not you belong to the GPOA. Find your HOA or section on the map, read its covenants and guidelines, and contact the right architectural representative.
What should be reviewed?
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) helps residents understand the covenants and guidelines, reviews plans, and conducts onsite inspections. It advises the GPOA Board on proposed changes.
Projects that call for review include:
- new home, garage, driveway, shed, fence, flagpole, or swimming pool
- replacing windows, doors, a deck, or a roof
- removing trees
Check the rules for your project before completing an application.
If you're repairing or replacing a mailbox with one that matches its original color and appearance, ACC action is not required.
Which group should you contact?
Live in one the seven HOA sections?
Your HOA representative is your first contact. Each HOA has its own covenants and guidelines.
Live outside of an HOA section?
Reach out to the ACC contact assigned to your section (I-VI). That person can help you identify the applicable documents and request form.
Not sure which section is yours?
Send your address and question through the GPOA contact form. We'll help you find the right person before you begin.
The ACC meets in open session at 4:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month.
Your representative can tell you where the meeting will be held and how to send in your application.
